🍻 YARAKA HOTEL HITS THE MARKETThe owner of Yaraka's only pub says it's been a "privilege" to serve behind the bar for the past decade, but it's now time to look for a new owner.Gerry Gimblett and her husband Chris purchased the pub in 2014, but Ms Gimblett said after her husband's death she didn't feel she could run it on her own."The ownership of the hotel was something that Chris and I did together, and it was very much a lifestyle option for us," she said. The Yaraka Hotel sits in a sheep and cattle district, and is known for its jump-up tours, its weekend pizzas and its tendency to attract thirsty emus looking for a drink.Ms Gimblett said she wanted to sell to someone who understood the important role of the pub in a community — for local graziers and tourists alike."It's a very, very special community and that's why I'm choosing to stay to live here because I really want to remain part of it."🤠 Subscribe to our weekly newsletter here by selecting ABC Western Queensland: ab.co/3LuMEr3 ...
